This movie has to do with West Africa Oral History. They have what is known as a griot tradition. This is very important to them because it tells the people who they are, where they came from, and where they’re supposed to head to. In the movie they make it to where it involved into drawings where they magically record the stories. A student finds out he has a gift of being an artist. He already knew how good he was and that he deserved more than the job he was already in for it. Then one day his teacher brings something to his attention that he never knew existed, and his hole life changes.

This movie is very unique. It’s a mixture of history, magic, but at the same time they make it look so realistic! Magic can be all good and fun but just like in life taking advantage of things can go wrong as well. The teacher already had his share of learning. Now it’s the students turn!

I think the point to the story is what’s more valuable in life?! Is it the gift itself or is it what you can get out of it? This is useful because it teaches life decisions, right and wrong, and values of life. It’s interesting and worth watching!
